I really cant make up my mind.

I was starting to lean to wards the Hyun but then I started to get worried about if I had to return it .... I can live with a dead pixel or two as long as its not like a big red dot in the middle of the screen. So then I started hearing how easy and how dell will take it back if you have any problems, don't like it etc....

Now does Hyun have one headquarters in the Us and one in South Korea? Ive been hearing that it takes weeks and weeks to get anything back from them....is that semi true or heh?

Now about the panels. It looks like the hyun will have less ghosting etc and there both going reproduce colors just fine as far as lcds go. The hyun will be brighter also but has very bad vieing angles opposed to the dell. The dell also has those usb ports which is rather nice but I could care less about that heh...

So I'm just not sure.....Im so afraid of buying the Hyun and getting a bunch of dead pixels sending it back and never seeing it again. At least with the dell I know I will be seeing it soon. They both use a samsung screen so right there says that the dead pixel rate will be low but still it happens all the time........
HELP!!!!!! ^_^

After finding out how horrid Hyundai's returns can go I'm staying away heh...

Any one out there have the dell 1950 that could post some screen shots etc....of it. Also whats your opinion on this monitor.
I also keep thinking that this is a Samsung 193 which sells for 630 and is only going from any where from 460 to 530ish at dells site.

One last thing. In terms of returns with lcds: you have to ship it back to them and pay for that yourself then they send you a new one after you get the rma from them yes?

I just got my L90D+ (make sure its the +), no dead pixels, the small viewing angles are not a bad thing unless you plan on using the display as a TV/movie monitor for multiple viewers. Other than that, the response time, contrast, and brightness are well above par, it's the perfect 17-19" gaming LCD out there right now, especially considering the price (under $400).

It seems odd you're considering these two monitors, as they seem built for different functions. Obviously the Hyundai is more for gaming, whereas the Dell seems more for business or general use.

The only reason Ive not allready gotten the l90 is because I was afriad if I were to get one with a bad screen that getting another whould be a bitch. As oposed to the dell which whould be very easy to return.

The 90 looks way better for gaming I can clearly see that. But getting the monitor for one day after spening 400 and then not seeing it for a few weeks kind of bothers me a lot.

And the dell is perfectly fine for games. I doubt Its going to be an unenjoayable experiance....it whould be nice if I could get on and test both but I cant...

So what do you think. Take the risk with the 90 or play it safe with the dell? ^_^

I wouldn't call it much of a risk, so go with the L90D+. If you are unlucky enough to get a dead pixel (or more than one), they aren't so bad unless they're in the middle of the screen. My L90D+ has no dead pixels. Get the monitor based on how you're going to use it, not on "risk" factor. If you're not that serious about games, get the 1905FP, if you're a fairly avid gamer, definately get the L90D+.

my roommate just bought a 1905FP last week, and my L90D+ just arrived today. There is noticable screen tearing, and ghosting with the 1905 when I saw my roommate playing CS. There's absolutely none with mine.

Got my L90D+ today, zero dead pixels, wonderful on games except BFV - not sure if it's due to the game not supporting 1280x1024 or my 9600pro. Either way, still a lot more enjoyable than on my 17" crt. Can't stop looking at it. May have to call in sick tomorrow.
