I ordered the Samsung 950P on-line 15 minutes before the original promo ended. Should I cancel this order and go for the 955DF? Is Dell still honoring the $222 price on the 955DF net of 20 percent off as their site now lists it at $302.95 - less 20 percent would be $242.36?

Joe 35: i had done extensive research on this forum, i went to every posible store i could think of and read as many review's as i could. It is a big decision on buying a new monitor. After changing my mind several times i finally decided to go with the Samsung 950P. First of all it is not a perfect flat screen but let me tell you it is no fish bowl either. I couldn't be happier with it. There is a reason that this monitor has been pcworld.com #1 19" monitor for a long time now.
My opinion is that you keep the 950P and don't look back. I have seen them both and frankly i liked the 950P conciderably better.Very sharp text, my games look beautiful,and very user friendly. GREAT MONITOR!!!

If the 955DF doesn't show the correct price online please follow my instructions above to get the 20% off and free shipping. Here is a good thread I found in the General Hardware forum here comparing the Samsung 950P vs 955DF. I also found 9 threads in the UseNet NewsGroup comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.video which compare the Samsung 950P vs 955DF and most people recommend the 955DF. Whichever monitor you choose you're getting a great deal but I would personally get the 955DF. I ordered a 955DF for a friend but paid $251 from Buy.com after $20 rebate with free shipping.

Only because it's the best bang for your buck 19" monitor available, but I still prefer my Dell P991 (FD Trinitron) which although it's $37 more it's well worth it.
