I would try that but I just called up both of them and tried to order it so they will probably remember me because they asked for my name and I was stupid enough to give it to them.

Has anybody had troubles getting their Dell online orders processed?

I placed two separate orders through their web site when the original 20% off deal was still valid. After the initial &quot;we received your order&quot; email, I have not heard anything from them. I've tried calling, but I haven't been able to get through to their online sales dept, and their regular phone csr's say that the orders may not have been processed yet. (One order placed on Wed, other on Fri.)

Anybody else place their orders and gotten successful order #'s?

Just 30 more minutes to go today until they close then tomorrow morning Kim is going to be BURIED with e-mails and phone calls

Damn, I'm hopin to get a new system and monitor, and dunno if i should get in on this . If i want to buy one now, do i e-mail Kim or do i call now and make references to Kim and the supervisors, etc?

karmasalad--I placed two orders in a similar time frame as yours, and it seemed like I got the confirmation and order number emails simultaneously, if not instantaneously.

After that, apparently, my luck ran out...tried calling an hour or so ago, only to have the representative tell me that the July 3rd date referred only to the Dell brand items (and that the information previously posted on the website indicated that). I asked to speak to a higher-up, and the gent informed me that there was none there this evening...call back tomorrow, etc.

Not sure what to do now. Suppose I could do the Kim thing...

PsychoAndy - You're too late now unless you already called, I would have tried calling. I suggest trying again tomorrow with any CSR that picks up the phone, if they turn you down then try contacting Kim. Since she is going to be really busy you may want to e-mail her the Dell part number and your contact info.

If checking order status online give error report, try checking it by enter customer# instead of order#. It works for me.

lol how do i know my customer #? i ordered over the phone and all he gave me was a order #.. last night is when i ordered it and i was able to check it with my ordernumber/zipcode but now today it says invalid order number???? i called today and he said it was still being processed but i dont like the fact i cant check it online

Don't worry if your order # shows up invalid on the website -- mine does as well, but if you go through the automated order status on the telephone, it works fine.

Try call or email asking what customer# you got, then you will be able to check all your orders on one page if you have placed multiple orders.

Concerning the $40 Samsung rebate, look here.


They show a list of participating retailers, and Dell.com isn't one of them. Has anybody called to see if this rebate is valid?

Good catch, if I have time I might call Samsung Promotions later today and ask if Dell.com purchases will qualify.

junthin - Thanks for the update, wow 60 people plus all the e-mails and calls she will receive today. I will remind everyone later this week about Buddhist's suggestion to send a THANK YOU e-mail to Kim. She really stepped up to the plate and helped us all out and the least we could do is commend her efforts in a THANK YOU e-mail addressed to her MANAGER.

I just placed an order for a Kodak DC4800. I couldn't get ahold of Kim, so I tried my luck with someone else. I got ahold of Jimmy and he gave me the free shipping and 20% off. He told me that he would honor it until tomorrow (didn't mention a time, but I am assuming c.o.b.). He told me to tell others to call him at: 1-800-449-3355 x44287
