This has been posted in another topic, but I thought it was important enough to get a separate topic. You can still use the 20% off if you call Dell directly and order it from them.

The only drawback is that you can't use online rebates like ebates 2% off.

I'm happy though, I just ordered a monitor that I desperately need to get. Call them!!!

No, you have to call and talk to a salesperson to get the 20% off.. Hurry, no idea how long they will allow it...

This is STILL VALID I just called 1-800-449-3355 don't press any options and you will be transferred to a live Dell sales rep who confirmed you can still buy non-Dell branded accessories today until 9:00 PM CT, sorry I didn't get his name or extension but I was able to place two orders for a Samsung 900NF for $333 and a Samsung 955DF for $222, these orders are for my friends.

HURRY AND ORDER NOW he said the Samsung 900NF, Samsung 955DF, Dell P991, and Planar 17" LCD are all flying off the shelves!

Bummers..Just called...only Dell branded items can still be obtained at 20% off...they did offer to still send a Samsung 955DF with free shipping however. He could not tell me how much longer they would be able to offer the free shipping...

I also just called and the customer service rep said he wasn't aware of any such deal to extend the promotion. He also said that there were no managers around to ask either. He took my number and said he would call back if he found out he could honor the discounted price (on the 900NF in my case). But I'm not holding my breath for him to call back .

I just called and they lady salesrep I got said they took the deal off the website, but it was still available via phone. she didn't mention when the phone in deal would end...

yeah, just keep trying and tell them that you tried to do it yesterday, and the website was messing up and not deducting, so that's why you are calling today. w00t w00t! just got the gf3 for $320!

GOOD NEWS! I called 1-800-449-3355 and Kim answered the phone, I asked to speak with a manager and she said what is this regarding? I explained to her that Dell originally was offering 20% off their accessories and software good through July 3, 2001 but early this morning changed that to expire today 7:00 AM Central Time which is an unfair bait and switch tactic. She put me on hold and spoke with her manager Chris who said Dell values customer service and will honor the 20% off and free shipping until Monday, July 2nd but you have to place your order over the phone with Kim. Then I told Kim that &quot;a few of my friends&quot; (61,400 ATers plus 15,000 FWers plus a few thousand DVDTalkers) said other sales reps told them this special expires tonight at 9:00 PM CT. I asked her to re-confirm with her manager, so she put me on hold again and spoke with Cliff who said they wanted to end this promotion tonight at 9:00 PM CT but that Kim could take orders up until Monday July 2nd as long as they are placed with Kim over the phone.

Just got my order placed and he knew that they had been having problems with the website he said. I told him I saved it to my cart last night but didn't place the order. He gave me the discount. So just keep trying people you will get it.

Called up and said I had talked to someone but hadn't given my name and the only reason I didn't order was because the website said going until 7/3. He went and talked to the manager who said I could choose free shipping or 20% off anything but not both. I originally wanted to purchase the Samsung 900df but decided to go with the Dell P991 (G400 rebranded?) for $4 more with both free shipping and 20% off. Good warranty on it.

WOw, good work Ross. I got in on the Netgear RP114 Cable/DSL router for $96 today. Cheapest price elsewhere was $120!

I also got a 17&quot; LCD monitor using the discount ($720 shipped) last week. But I have to say, their order tracking webpage sucks - half the time it's busy or goes AWOL on me.

LMAO, that's exactly what I would have done. If you don't receive a call from Kim on Monday make sure to call her BEFORE 6:00 PM CT because that's when she gets off work and when this promo dies.

Siamskunk - Yeah I think Kim is going to be really busy on Monday since I have posted this here, FatWallet and on DVDTalk. Why not e-mail Kim and ask her about the availability on the Sony G520? Make sure to e-mail her a direct link to the product, along with the Dell part number and your name, phone number and best time to call you on Monday. Worst case scenario is you place an order now and it's on back order for a few weeks but you're still saving 20% off AND getting free shipping on a 70 pound monitor.
