See.. if you buy it now, and say, another 50 people see the same post and do the same thing, then dell realizes, "Hey! people will buy it at this price! We don't need to lower it any more." Then the deal u were waiting on to happen... wont .

better buy now unless u can wait a year.... supply "shortages" for large screens, (larger than 13 inches i think) are said to happen driving prices up every quarter for at least the rest of the year.

Really? Shortages? They are saying the same thing about Ram prices arent they? I really hope you're wrong. If shortages were to come I will kill myself for not jumping on that $330 something deal about a month ago. (40% off, $65 coupon, 10% dell preferred, $11 fat cash)

I still say no one buy now, so then the shortages won't come later . Am I being logical? or is it just wishful thinking?

think about it....the fraction of a percent of people that will actually listen to you, of a fraction of a percent of the enthusiasts that read anandtech, of a fraction of a percent of the total computer enthusiast base... which make up a fraction of a percent of the total consumer base.

logic isnt part of your equation.

Well, I did think about that. But this thread does have almost 2,000 views while I'm typing this. Assuming that each person views this thread 4 times, that makes it 500 people. Not everyone posts, like me, Ive been a member for a while but only have double digit posts.

Ur probably right in that there is a much larger market for these monitors, but I'm assuming that since the price isn't unusually low right now, many will hold out.

Well I had to buy the 2005FPW last month since my 17" CRT from 1996 was shot and needed to be replaced. So I could not hold out. Especially at 345$ price. Though I had to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive at my house.
