Ordered Saturday and received Tuesday. Nice display with no defects but seems too small for me for my primary usage after using a 19" 4:3 Planar for a couple years at 1280x1024. Great deal though and I'll keep it to get rid of a tube monitor that was heating up a bedroom.

Looks like 30% off now at the site, $524.30 minus any coupons. I spotted a good $60 off, so 464 and tax. Not uber hot anymore.
I want to help my mom out. going to mount monitor and keyboard on and arm that swings over her easy chair. What do you think, 2001 or 2005FPW wide screen for older <bad eyesight> lady who mostly plays card games and surfs a bit? I got the idea because she said she'd write more if she had a laptop, so the screen was closer.
I may add a tuner card, but I doubt that it will replace her "30 TV.

Sky king ... I think the 1906 or any 19" is supieror for bad eyesight...primarly because it's the largest screen with 12x10 native. (18's 17's and some 15's are also this)

It's essentially like 1024x768 on a 19" CRT if you've seen that?
BIG text!!! Clear!!

Wow, that was fast. Got mine in today. Plugged it in and found no dead pixels. Yay!

edit: It's a Rev. A02, too.

Thanks! I can get the 1905FP for 379 through my small biz account right now, no rebates.
She will probably run it at 1024x768 anyway, LOL!!!

I looked at arm mounts for the monitor and keyboard, but I am thinking a whole desktop that swings over her chair, like a big "breakfast in bed" type of setup. She already uses a trackball sitting on the arm of the chair.
What do you guys think? She is in her 80's now, and does not get around well at all. I really want to enhance whatever enjoyment she gets from the computer.

You know, I thought to myself, "why are there so many a-holes in this forum...?" Then I looked at your pictures and started that nod of understanding like it all made sense, kind of like when you're stuck in a traffic jam for no reason and you finally get to the bottleneck and see who is driving..

well the big 35% off coupon for the 1905fp and the 2005fpw, so only the other coupons are still available.

mine arrived today as well. and it is also a revA02 may 2005. i will test the bleeding tonight when it gets dark. i do have one stuck pixel on blue though. it doesn't bother me.

edit: just threw the lcd in the bathroom. no uneven bleeding. so my lcd is 99% perfect. (1 stuck pixel)

edit 2: i've played with this for over an hour and i can seriously make love to it. here's a pic of the display.

Just joined the forum to post my results.

I received mine today with a date of April 2005 Rev A01. Serious backlight bleeding and 10 dead/stuck pixels. Needless to say, it's going back.

Looked like it had been previously used.

Keep an eye out on these forums . Chances are Dell will lower the price a little more. It's a good business strategy, the people who are on the fence now, will most definitely jump on it. Dell has done this so many times.....

edit: Looks like the same deal is back again. That should tell you a few things 1) Dell is perfectly comfortable selling these LCD's at this price. 2) This price will drop. It would've dropped further already if so many of u weren't buying it :|.

Yep, same here. The monitor has a few scratches and bad bleeding in the corners!!! Well, only 2 dead pixels and they aren't noticeble, but unacceptable. My monitor came w/ cable connected as well. This is BS from Dell!!!

The part pissed me off are those scratches on the front panel frame. And even the stand has scratches! I'm sure Dell tested them and they are okay functional wise, but I think the previous person returned it due to its bad bleeding on 3/4 corners of this screen. Now, I have to wait 10 business days for the exchange. Actually, it will take Dell 8 business days to get the new order out and 2 days for delivery. Why takes this long for a reorder?
