Mine says shipped on the 15th, but it says is "In Transit to the local Carrier" Where The F*** is the local carrier? today is the 16th and it takes more than 24 hours to get to the carrier?

I'm desperate man, and I hope the new coupons are not stackable with the BigBucks or I'm gonna be pissed!!!

35% off Dell 1905FP or 2005FPW , Coupon expires 5/18/05 at 5:59 am CT.
$90 on any Electronics & Accessories purchase of $750 or more , Avail. 5/17 12:00am

Looks like we will have another window to get in on the double deal.

The " % off " coupon has been as high as 40% recently.. But, it has also been as low as 25%
Looks as though they don't run the ($90 off any $750) very often ?

I was one of the "Hold'rs" that was going to hold off until they let out a better offer (from " 6shiw1 " original suggestion) But , now I think I'll take the odds and will pull when the (35% off and $90 off any $750) pairs up again Tuesday.
Holding out as a group' sounded right at first. But on the chance that (maybe saving an additional 5%) ??
I'm at the point of just wanting to get this thing delivered.

like (Tamale) said "think man.. $430 for a $750 monitor, get it dude!

LOL I can't believe u referred to me there. I was just kidding when I proclaimed myself the "hold" guy.

I think the decision to buy or not comes down to the buyer's situation.
For instance, I have an 18 inch dell ultrasharp, but with a cheezy refreshrate. But since I don't necessarily "need" a new lcd, ill wait till the price drops a bit more.

by how much? i dunno. Probably not significantly lower than this (5-10%?) I do remember that someone got about $330 with every coupon/discount and tax not included. Do a search you'll find it.

Also, new (er) LCD technology is out in the market, and Dell may face stiffer competition. Gaming LCD's such as Viewsonic's VX924 and vx724 have 4ms response times, compared to Dell's 12ms. I haven't experienced them in person, so what im saying is just c/p'ed from websites.

Neways, I'm gonna laugh when dell drops the price a lil more, then everyone goes, "OOOH this is the one deal of a lifetime!"

AFAIK no shipping company is open on sunday, neither is dell so its probably a mistake.

>>when I proclaimed myself the "hold" guy.

Actually, I was the one you referred to YOU as the "Hold" guy.
You suggested hold, then I said "I'm following the Hold guy"
(then, to drag it out even further)
some other guy got pissed and yelled at both of us . .. "who cares who said it first"
(LMAO)

>>comes down to the buyer's situation
I'm waiting to fire-up my Brand new G5 duel 2.0, sitting in the box until I get a new screen : )

>>gonna laugh when dell drops the price a lil more
so goes technology.
Everyone has a (horror at the time) (laughable now) story.
Top of my head, I once bought a Memorex 2x burner for $400 : (

well based on anand's review of the 2005fpw and apple 20" cinema screen there is only one company making 20" widescreen panels, so I doubt their will be stiff competition between 20" widescreen monitors.

I've been trying to decide on whether to pick up one of these 2005fpw's, at this sale price, or the 19" hyundai L90D+ w/8ms response time.

ams30gts, i was in the same boat as you - in fact my first order had to be cancelled since the system wouldn't let me add a GC. Called in yesterday to settle it and that pushed my delivery date back even more. (1st of June)

But lo and behold the 1905 has already been shipped!

Hey has anyone try to buy the 2005FPW with the new coupons and tried to stack them with BigBucks?

And I dont know but my order says shipped but it also says "In Transit to Local Carrier" its been two days and it still says the same thing, is that normal? or is that one of Dell's tricks?

I tried to stack a $30 Bigbucks code on top of the $90, but it just replaced the $90 with the $30. I think the system caps you at one %-off coupon and one $-off coupon. Just a guess, though.

Do the 2005fpws still have backlight leakage problems or has Dell largely solved that problem?

They were showing up as that last night (after midnight, so technically this morning), but worked for me as of ~7AM Pacific Time today.

Some forums that I read said that revisions from January onward do not have the backlight problem. I don't know from personal experience, since I just ordered it, but after reading that in several places I felt confident enough to order one.

How the hell did you manage that?

I ordered mine on the 14th, and it's *still* not even in production! It's listed as "pre-production"?!

I decided to jump on this boat.

My total came out to $410. The weird thing about it though is that, right before I checked out, my total was $403, then when I went to place the order, they added $7 on shipping. Weird.

Also, on the DPA, I clicked on the CC link to pay like some of you guys said, and I saw the 2% promo, but when I checked out, it didn't apply the 2%.

If you live in cali, that might be the disposal/environmental fee...
