I decided to jump on this boat.

My total came out to $410. The weird thing about it though is that, right before I checked out, my total was $403, then when I went to place the order, they added $7 on shipping. Weird.

Also, on the DPA, I clicked on the CC link to pay like some of you guys said, and I saw the 2% promo, but when I checked out, it didn't apply the 2%.

If you live in cali, that might be the disposal/environmental fee...

Nope...I live in Arkansas.

We haven't reached that technological point yet to be able to do something like that.

where in ark., mjn? I'm in Sherwood.

on topic: how are the vertical viewing angles on this (in person, I can read specs as well as the next guy). I usually watch dvds on my comp., but for groups sometimes my lcd won't cut it (planar px171m, from a previous--and glorious--dell deal).

They seem to do good monitor deals every other month or so. You'll be fine if you wait a bit. It's not like LCD's are going to jump up in price.

Bought my 2005 this morning... it already shipped!

I believe the 9200SE would be the fastest, and probably the most capable of handling the resolution since its the newest.

Do the other two even have DVI ports? Well actually do any of them have DVI?

yea 9200 does.

I'd go with it then. ATi has nice quality on their DVI, although since its a cheap card they might've skimped on it but I would think it would be better than the others.

Bee Branch...about an hours drive north of LR.

I would also like to thank everyone whose posted these rebates and what not, I saw the review of the this monitor and the Apple which in turn brought me to this hot deals forum. Been reading Anand for a few years now and finally went to the forums, and am treated to this deal.

I have one question though, do any of you think there would be any problems mounting this monitor on a wall?

You'll just have to make sure that you have a VESA compatible mount and you'll be fine. Most if not all wall mounts should be vesa compliant, but just make sure and check before you buy.

I don't care about movies. Why would I want this monitor for standard use, browsing, email and Web development vs the 20" 4:3 LCD? Wha if I play games a couple hours a week?

Can anyone comment who has used both this monitor and a good 20" 4:3? Can anyone comment who prefers the 4:3?
