Wow, just bs. I got up early enough today expecting a next-day air, but I just checked DHL and they shipped it ground as well. Mine has to make it from Austin, TX up to the very top of Upper Michigan. Yeah right. Now I will be gone out of town by the time it gets here. BS



UPDATE: I thought I would try Dell chat once again to see how exactly it got shipped. Basically the convo came down to: Well sir, your order was indicated next-day shipping, and it shipped 8/9/05. However, it is being shipped ground by the carrier. (reason for this unknown)

How lame. All this time I thought I had next-day but they probably just told people that to give them piece of mind. There was nothing left the rep could do. If this monitor isn't PERFECT then I'll probably just send it back for a refund. I don't feel like playing around with exchanges if it took this long just to get the first one. Plus the fact that I will be out of town the whole time, I don't know if I'll make the 21 day window.



Haha even worse, the new labs have opened up here at school and they all have 1905FPs. This is the first time I've used one and they are huge and NICE! I can't believe that I will be getting a 20" widescreen version of the same panel. It's just taunting me now.

That last round of coupons must have drained Dell of their 2005fpw supply. I initiated an exchange for mine yesterday and the estimated ship date is 8/16. I received my first monitor within three days back on July 26.

Woot I think mine just shipped tonight. It left Nashville and it should be here tomorrow (CA). I think mine is going by air... its FedEx Overnight.

I got mine on the 10th. No dead pixels is nice, but the USB cables must be faulty cause when it is plugged in my PC keeps acting like devices are being plugged in and out often. Switched the cable and all is fine. I do get a small amount of light bleed but so minor it doesn't matter. Also be sure to tinker with the settings so u can play your games in 4:3 aspect ratio w/o being stretched, well games that have to be played in 4:3 aspect....

Are you using DVI? Do you have wavy lines issue? Try http://www.xfire.com/xf/index.php and maximize it and see if you see wavy lines on the left hand side(the blue bar).

Not sure what you mean by "blue bar" but I see no wavy lines anywhere.

Make sure to check that again this morning. Mine said overnight last night and is also in Nashville. This morning it says "Future Delivery Requested" and the ship date changed to Aug. 16th. I kinda figured I wouldn't see it till next week.

DHL tracking number indicated at 10:30am this morning that it was 2 hours away (nearest facility). Hopefully that isn't 10:30 CST.... Else I should have it within an hour, maybe two. I've noticed that us July 28th orderers are getting them. It's good to hear davew that your's is excellent. Hopefully mine follows suit.


Also, did anyone even get next-day air as promised? As I thought before, after figuring out they stuck me with ground, I think they just told everyone that to get them off their backs.

Mine arrived last friday in great shape. As far as I can tell no bleed through on the back light which is nice. I'm using it as my primary monitor and my older 1901FP as a second which is works pretty decent too. The XFX card 6600GT I bought has dual DVI outs so doubly sweet. I've been having some trouble getting it to work with the wide screen tweak for Battlefield 2. For widescreen movies though it looks awesome! Great deal for $421 shipped.
