I'm waiting for the 2407 as well. If the only thing added is HDCP, I'd prefer the 2405, whose price hopefully will have been driven down with the 2407's introduction.

Not really, the dollar is weak compared to the pound which accounts for some of it. There's probably also an import duty. It's shocking. I would love to get the 2405 (or the 2407 which I'm waiting for) for about £500. Why £500? Cos that's how much they're going for in the US.
I could fly there and pick one up for that price, but I wouldn't know how to get it back here!
