I have a 710m and it works perfectly fine when the battery is charged. However, until recently, the adapter for some reason will not charge my battery. In addition to that, the little green light on my laptop that normally indicates that my battery is getting charged will not light up when the adapter is plugged in. On the dell adapter, there is also another steady green light. This light will stay on 75% of the time I plug it in. My first assumption was that the adapter maybe faulty. So, I tried to charge my laptop with another equivalent Dell adapter and it charged the laptop fine, but then stopped charging it. This leads me to believe that my laptop maybe the problem...maybe the the motherboard? I ran the onboard diagnostics and the following error message was received: 3600:0122 Msg: Battery Test Failed - Disconnected Charger. Can anybody with experience shed some light on this? My warranty just expired last May so this may be a bummer situation for me if I end up paying almost half of what I bought my laptop for.
