Thanks for the post, but the article was about desktops not notebooks. Dell has a long way to go if they think they are going to impress people (gamers) with their xps line of desktops. For starters Alienware unlike dell is
a strong AMD supporter and Untill Dell gets that message; They will sell few systems. Laptops on the otherhand are a differant story. Alienware and Dell are running a close race when it comes to Game Class Laptops (Desktop Replacements). I can speak personaly about the whole Inspiron Line*: What a piece of Crap! XPS and no doublty is better than Inspiron and earned a Maximum PC Kick Ass Award. My only gripe about moble XPS is that to the best of my knowledge they don't offer Pentium M as a Processing option. Personaly I think Dothan is better suited to gaming than Prescott or Nothwood. I would never buy a Dell Desktop(after 1995), but would seriously consider an XPS notebook as one of my purchase canidates along with Alienware, Falcon N-W, Voodoo, and a Few others.
And yes you can upgrade the Graphics with Alienware and Voodoo. Falcon North-West i am not too sure of.
Foot Notes:
*my parents recieved one for free from their company. I know some other people who have purchased 5100, 8100, and 8500's. They are super flimsy, cheaply made, and Generaly very run hot and provide less than mediocre performance. And dont forget the recalls.
