This is a good deal. I tried and you can also stack the $40 discount with the $35 off $300 coupon if you received one in the mail. Very good deal.

Is there a chance that since Axim "will ship in 3+ weeks", the rebates will not be honored, since a packing slip is required? I thought there was a thread on similar issue with Dell desktops.

The rebate form says "rebate offer must on packing slip", just ordered with two coupons, final $274 shipped. But wondering if dell will put rebate on the slip. If not, I will just return it. Nothing to loose.

By the way, where says the qualified purchase time? Can't find it on rebate form.

Click on Peripherals
Then Click Handhelds and PDAs
Axim is right on the front page and can be added to your cart
$40 off discount shows up

See my post above, the coupon is automatically added to your cart when you add the Axim. The $35 off coupon was a promotional coupon sent out snail mail to certain Dell customers and is unique.

It wont let me sign up for the Prefered customer account thing. It gives an error saying the system is down. Can I place the order somehow and then call and get the account setup over the phone and have them give me the 25 dollar credit or something? Or can I call and have them set me up and then use the login or whatever they give me to then go place the order? Any help appreciated. I wanna get in on this before it ends tonight.

From what I can tell, the opportunity to sign-up for a Dell Preferred account happens during checkout. Go thru a few of the screens and you'll see it. The problem I'm having is that the details of the offer only seem to apply to SYSTEMS not PDAs. See:

Edit: Here's my cost run-down from Dell's confirmation e-mail (it includes the $40 off and the stackable $35 off coupon from the Home & Home Office catalog plus free shipping credit of $10). I didn't feel like applying for a preferred account after all. Although an extra $25 off would have been nice

It actually says "Offer may not be combinable with all other offers or discounts available from Dell Home Systems Co." Not to quibble over semantics, but there may not be a problem. Although to be perfectly honest, I have no idea if it will work or not. I wish more of the Axim threads here had people reporting back whether they got their $50 rebates or not.

Anyone receive their $50 rebate from Dell yet? Might be too soon, I hear those things take a while...
