Most of dells newer motherboards have both SATA and normal pATA ide plugs on them. Check the specs.
DDR2 is NOT pc3200 btw. It will say PC2-3200 if its ddr2. DDR 1 and DDR2 are not the same. DDR2 has 240 pins, DDR1 has 184 pins. There's no AMD 64 that has DDR2 yet, since the memory controller is built into the AMD CPU. AMD said they are planning on one later this year I think. They said it doesn't make the system much faster.
You have a much better system overall than this dell deal, but its without monitor I'm guessing. Oh and you dont mention the graphics card you have? DVD writers are cheap, get 16x dual layer for $40 on sale or less, or $60 at newegg. 160 meg hdd, they are also cheap. Tehre's been tons of sales for 200 gig drives around $60 lately. 512 megs of pc3200 starts around $50 for generic and for some corsair or mushkin you can get it for around $70ish. The 3300+ amd64 is pretty interesting. Apparently its not officially released yet and is a new version called paris. Probably worth sometwhere about $175 I'm guessing from pricewatch between normal 3200+ 64 and 3400+ 64.
This is the best info I can find on it:

Depending on the motherboard it could be $100-$150 worth or so.
The 17" lcd is worth minmum of $200. If you get the upgraded 1704fp dell LCD monitor for $49 more its worth probably more like $300. Some of the upper end dell LCD's are quite sought after. They often have better specs and are cheaper than very good models from samsung, etc. Also many of the better ones have very good response times. Like 12ms
