How about a nice generalization on the good parts of the deal... you shouldchange titel to reflect this.

The big deal is free cd burner as second drive on Dimensions and also you can get a 120GB 7200 drive as a free upgrade from 30gb drive. Don't know how long that will last.

This amounts to 519 for a barebones 2350 dimension with:
DVD
40X burner
128 RAM
xp home
works
celeron 2.0ghz

they also ahve a special configured dimension 2350 that you get to from main page. This is a system with lcd and they give $100 MIR on the system. So for 729 you get the above with a 15" Dell LCD.

you could also then use ebates which is another 2% reducing it another $15

This is actually a fairly good deal for a little over $1,000. I'm sure someone will swoop in swearing up and down that htey built the same system for $37 last week, but when we ask to see receipts they'll disappear.

Unfortunately, for a P4 system, Dell is often the cheapest way to go right now. They're getting much better prices on the chips from Intel than we are from Newegg. I just wish they'd use better mobos.

This is a good deal but not quite comparable to some previous dell deals (e.g. 4550 LCD systems for $500, 8200 system for $600 shipped). The LCD costs $260 (same as always) . HDD upgrade, 2nd bay CDRW and $100 back are a great combination they also offer a speaker upgrade - though you'd have to add shipping

A reduced system w/o FPD would cost $779+s&h.
