The 22" market is getting very competitive.

Acer, Westinghouse, Samsung, Dell, Sceptre so many choices

Marked for onelove's discussion of the Sceptre. I've been looking at that tv/monitor as well...

After having mine for a few days I will say I am not disapointed at all. No bad light leakage, especially compared to my wuxga Dell Latitude 820 screen, so for me it worked out good, colors seem to be fine to me. We have several 2007FPW and I really cannot tell the difference beside the lack of height adjustment and usb ports and landscape mode. But those 2007s we have must be TN panels because if they were IPS I would expect to notice a difference.

Got it today - installed and running - replaced a 20"Widescreen Dell UltrSharp - first pass impressions:

Not an ultrasharp
No dead pixels
some bleeding top and bottom
Needed gamma and other corrections
Damm - it's big

Reminds me of my Dell 9300/6000/E1505 panel issues -

Looks like a keeper - for $300.

Damm, did I say this is a big LCD -- LOL -- I think I will have to move my chair back a few feet - LOL

Would you say the 22" has better IQ than the 2007? Or equal atleast?

ok. got the sceptre 22" this evening. here's my quick & dirty:
no dead/stuck pixels that I can see from my initial 45 mins.
has the screen bleed. Pics below are with lamp turned off.

has HDMI, DVI & VGA & also indicates it handles HDCP
so far, the included DVI cord has not given me issues as other users had reported.
stand is ok, but I'm sure the d3ll is sturdier, based on photos i've seen. still, it doesnt wobble when I type.

the bleed bugs me a bit (probably notice it more because I was looking for it), but I'm going to use it for a bit and see if I notice it. The last sceptre I had stopped working (DVI input crapped out after 1 mo), it had screen bleed similar to this one. This one doesnt have the awful lighted sceptre logo in middle. hope this helps someone.

I did get the Dell E228WFP 22' LCD yesterday to replace my 2005FPW. I'm very happy with it, no pix issues, min. bleed, VERY bright with excellent color(*when adjusted) and its big(imo..a perfect size) . At first it gave me some trouble, I was finding it over bright w/ inky darks. Then I got smart(happens from time to time) I defaulted the monitor and drivers....and instead of touching the bright\contrast\vibrance levels I first dropped the gamma until I had correct colors, form there it was a min. tuning bright\contrast and I had it spot on. I went on to play way too many hours of WoW:BC. This baby is a keeper
