So how hot are these deals?

I need a mini-DV camcorder, but I haven't done any research yet except to say I'm probably going with Canon or Sony. I just am interested to know if I should be doing some cram-type research to try ordering one of these tonight or if I can pass because a similar deal will crop up later/it isn't that great of a deal.


Of course, the other point is I only like to deal with Dell if I'm really screwing them over on their margins. They've screwed me over enough...

those prices aren't that great - i found cheaper at amazon (either through amazon or j&r) on 3 of the 4 models listed and the other (optura 300) can be had at places like 6ave.com for under $700 shipped.

One good deal not mentioned might be the Canon ZR80 Digital Video Camcorder. $399 - 10% - $25 = $335.
