But that post is two days old and it says "We will be posting updated rebate forms for this drive as soon as they are available, and will be extending the period for submission."
No new rebate forms yet, and my invoice only shows the ship date of 10/6... =(

Your receipt should be your order confirmation (that's when you bought it and the payment was accepted) not the packing slip.

Got mine today with a Promise ATA100 card. Hard to believe Windows 98 through XP won't recognize more than 137 GB. What are people doing about that, using the ATA100 card or the Intel patch?

Actually, they will send you an invoice in a day or two after they place the actual charge on your accountOriginally posted by: ivwshaneYour receipt should be your order confirmation (that's when you bought it and the payment was accepted) not the packing slip.Originally posted by: MadCowDiseaseBut that post is two days old and it says "We will be posting updated rebate forms for this drive as soon as they are available, and will be extending the period for submission."No new rebate forms yet, and my invoice only shows the ship date of 10/6... =(Originally posted by: InfiniteSadnessI've found the info on dell posting updated rebate forms on their forums. Any suggestions from the AT community? I have a packing slip dated the 6th of October, when my order was placed on the 26th of September. I've printed out a order page showing this, but I dunno if they'll take it because there is nothing to correlate the two sheets of paper, not even an order number.

Originally posted by: mechwarriorI believe I read somewhere that Dell should be sending us an invoice. An old invoice from a different order has the original order date on it, which in this case should be 9/26. As a precaution, I requested a copy of the invoice. You can do this by going to Customer Support -> Customer Care -> View Documents -> Invoices.

Everybody should calm down. As I posted earlier, I received the rebate form directly from Dell as an e-mail attachment.
It says that the rebate must be postmarked within 30 days of invoice date. Got that? Invoice date!
I received my drive last week. I have not yet received my receipt via snail mail, but I downloaded a Certified Electronic Copy from their website. It specifically says:
Order date: 9/25/03
Invoice date: 10/07/03
Get it? The order date is important to QUALIFY for the rebate.
The invoice date is important for the POSTMARK of the rebate.
The date your drive ships will be the invoice date, and you'll be able to send in for your rebate.
So relax and chill.
Hope I explained this clearly enough.
And I understand that there are some who were able to order this on the 27th? If so, that is an entirely different question which I cannot answer. This rebate form covers only those drives purchased on the 25th and 26th of September.
