For vice city (and all games), make sure you're running at maximum lcd resolution. I had HUGE ghosting in GT3 and other games until I did that (I have a Dell 1900fp). It now looks fine.

I got my PX171M today. Lucky me, dead pixel in the center of the screen right out of the box. I call to get a replacement and all's going well until I'm told that they no longer stock the monitor and are just selling off stock, so they can't replace it -- only give credit (two separate reps told me the same story, so it's probably true).
Sigh.

I just got my 20" Planar PL201M last night! Woah, it is so pretty and beautiful. No dead pixels (I mean it's got 1600x1200 pixels). Screen is bright and crisp, and it is just a beauty to look at compare to my 14" laptop lcd. I don't know about responseness, because I don't have a decent video card to push acceptable frame rates at 1600x1200 resolution. I don't intend to use this lcd for gaming anyway, just for photo editing and programming. Very good deal for only $650 shipped.

The beauty of the 20" screen is that it displays 1600x1200 (UXGA) resolution, which the 19" LCD does not (1280x1024).Originally posted by: hawkeye81x
Now I'm just contemplating if it might have been better to go for two 19" Planars instead. for ~$230 more...but I suppose 20" of space should be more than enough for most apps.
Steve
Good reason.
Now I just need to break the habit of sitting so close to the monitor since I have much more desktop room.
