This is equivalent to Dell's desktop deal of $499 for a P4 and a flat panel - these boat anchors have no battery life and are incredibly thick. Compaq/HP and Toshiba have had these for a while - I read that even IBM has one now. But if all you do is take it to and from work, why not?

well - with 128k of cache its still slow. remember how badly athlons beat up on p4 based core before they had 512k cache - this is an even more extreme case. a 1.2ghz athlon probably would destroy this cpu.....
