no rebate, it's instant rebate i just bought it with the 24x dvd/cdrw drive combo for 750 shipped. yea i know...not the 598, but i don't want to spend 300+ dollars for an upgrade i will need later. 50 dollars was for the taxes but hey, it's an okay deal. good laptop.
