Is it overseas? I looked at one of the contact info things.... It says: Verona Italy: Zip Code: 37138.....oddly enough, that zip code is for Green Hill, TN.

If you order from this site, you deserve to be ripped off.

Checkout has no encryption or at least a self signed cert, that's a big giveaway of being a scam site...

Hi I noticed this forum, and I wanted to ask for a little assistance. Unfortunatley I made a purchase from e-wise, and I know most of you will think I am stupid and what not, for doing so. I am 17 years old, and I was emailing back and forth with the owner of the site: Michael Kendall. Unfortunatley I trusted him, and sent for my order which was $1500 via western union to spain. I obviously made a big mistake, he has stopped emailing me, he sent an email that said he sent my items, but I have not recieved a tracking number which i requested SEVERAL times. I am pretty sure I am getting frauded, and I know most of you will just crumb on me, but please if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. He already picked it up from Western Union, so cancelling that isnt an option. My dad suggested a scare tactic, because he thinks that the FBI wil do nothing to help me(I agree) He was thinking to say i have a cousin in Germay, and he is at the U.S. embassy, he said give them the embassy adress and everything, and tell him that my cousin will pay a visit if the items arent recieved. It seems farfetched, I have no clue what to do, this money is all i have, and I have made a big mistake, any suggestions from anyone?

wow, gives new meaning to buyer beware. All I can think is to give the FBI a shot, or maybe contact the troll hunters, see if they can dig up info on this guy. If the site you orderd from is still online, then somebody has to be paying the bills. I would start by gathering and making a backup of all the correspondence you had with this guy, the FBI and/or anyone who helps you will want it.

Good luck!

Ok well basically the responses i expected....I know I made a horrible mistake....well first off I have worked for 2 months, and thats how I got $1500. Also this site is one of the most well devised scams I have seen. He sent me several references of customers, so I emailed them all, and they said how it was a legit site, also this guy from NY that I was going to order from, who I know for a fact is legit, said that he ordered from e-wise and things went fine. I am trying to find someone who is good at hacking, i was told there is ways to find out all his information through his hoster or something, I would be willing to pay anyone who could help, I dont live my life for money, but when you lose all you have earned for 2 months, because of the evil in this world, its very hard. I understand I made a mistake, and yes I will never make it again, but I can't stand the thought of this guy getting away with this, I am not the first one he frauded. Anyone who can help I would be more then grateful

for future purchases, go with www.newegg.com
You talk to your local police? You talk to the police in spain? Anyone at the embassy in Spain for leads?
Interpol could help give you an idea of what you need to do....

Obviously, if you want help, your initial (and followup) communications should be very professional and coherent.

If he's in Spain I doubt he'll be scared about a person from a US Embassy somewhere in Germany.

Sorry, I wish I could help. The only thing I suggest is you write a letter to the local police in Spain. I'm sure you can get help writing it in Spanish.

WOW! It's a freaking miracle that you found this forum, right after the OT posted his doubts about this obscure website, and after you paid them $1500 bucks! I'm amazed! But, if your luck holds true, you'll get your refund, and/or the stuff you ordered.

I woulld contact Western Union, any company that deals with money will have video taped survailance of all transactions, request that the day and time that the money was picked up be sent to you, if this dosent work I would contact your local authorities and ask them how they would proceed, if this leads no where contact the FBI hopefully somone will be able to follow up on it.

The FBI won't help. They have no authority overseas and the amount ($1500) is too low anyways.

Western Union did their job - you sent money to someone, WU transferred it properly, and the guy then collected it. So they are not at fault and you cannot expect to pursue the matter with them.

Your local police and the police in Spain are not going to be able to help, either. I have a friend who's laptop was stolen out of his apartment in Cincinatti and he had a good idea who stole it, and the police were unable to recover it. Unless you have a good friend or family member in the local police, they are too busy with real crimes and will not be able to help. And it will cost you $1500 to fly to Spain and discuss this with the local authorities in Spain, so that's out.

You have learned an expensive lesson. Chalk it up to life experiences and get back to work. Only 2 months until you have another $1500 to replace that which you have lost.

I understand what you are saying, yes I learned a lesson, but I am not a dumb kid I am VERY careful with my money, maybe if you knew more about the situation you would understand. Also I do know several people in law enforcement who are already working with me. I won't give up. If I can not get my money back, I will atleast get his site shutdown, and do everything I can to stop others from getting frauded. It's too bad there are people like this in the world. If any of you get bored you can always send a little spam mail to e-wisesales@sbcglobal.net Well thanks for taking time to write, and if there are any developments, though I doubt it, I will most defenitly post.

well jesus tap dancing christ, you said your are careful with your money, you only use western union to send people money when they are your family or friend who needs the money quickly, you don't send it to some mofuker half way across the world who says he has some good sh1t he can sell you cheap. the number 1 rule on the internet is to never ever ever ever ever send money using western union wire transfer, its about the stupidest possible thing anyone could ever do, there is no way to get your money back unless you can find out his address, which is possible, fly to spain and burn his house and everything he owns to the ground while hes still inside, not that im advocating you kill him or burn his house down....
