Got the monitor 2 days ago. Since I already have a 24 inch monitor at work, it was easy to get used to it. It's hard to go from 20 to a 24 and especially from a 20 to a 30.
Some package details. It comes with all the cables. Some cables were new and some used. The monitor it self... from what I can see is new - no scratches, nothing. When I opened it up...it smelled new. I don't know if they replace the external parts and leave in the same parts inside, but I don't see any dead pixels... Even my room smelled like new comp equipment for a day... I am happy with the monitor. My only issue is that it doesn't have an OSD and like no inputs. The 24 inch Dell has every input and an awesome OSD, like split screen, PIP, etc. Thought what I liked about this monitor, you don't need an external power adapter, just plug it in.
I don't like the flat brighness and power button. It is way too easy to turn on and off the monitor that way.
But those things don't matter. The monitor is great, I am not seeing any ghosting or different backlights. The quality is basically the same as my 20 inch and the 24 inch. This is just a big brother to the 24 inch.
I have a co-worker who has 3008 model. And he said he notices better colors. However, he said, to an average person like his wife, she doesn't see it. But I think its not worth the price, its way over priced... have a good day!
