Did you receive it yet? They do in fact have x800 xt's? Those are usually not offered with the 8400 series, just the XPS. I've avoided these config's in Dell Outlet out of fear they'd be an x800 se.

thanks rossman. you wouldn't believe how many hours i wasted yesterday clicking submit search. they seem to release the laptop at around 46 minutes past the hour but SOMETIMES, they release at 32 mins past the hour. try it. it's like a game. the faster you can click... heh

That's certainly a nice deal. Mine was ~$704, but I'd have paid the extra $144 for Audigy2, X800XT and DVD+-RW (even though I already have one that I'll just slap in there).

I'll probably part out the X800 XT and the GB of DDR2, and sell the rest as a barebones system. Dell usually has good samsung memory, should fetch a couple hundred for the two 512 modules.

Not bad. If you don't want that MS Works suite, it'll sell on Ebay for roughly $25.
