heyyy. what about the 600sc? got it to 498-100 mib rebate.

it only has the p4 2.4 . So, i know its not like last month's 2.8 for that price and 3.2 for 99$ more

600sc for sure has no AGP onboard. All the 400sc machines I've seen have SATA on them.

I have 2 of these... a 3.2 (800) & a 3.0 (800). Both running with 512mb DDR400.
Quiet & stable.

i got a 2.4 a few months ago, it's the quietest system i have. i have an optiplex and it is a little similar to that.

it's a 249 buck oem box, you can't build the same thing for the price nor will you be mod'ing it.

If you are looking for a true server and not a desktop, the 600sc has more HD capacity, better management features, and 256MB RAM std. configured for $50 more, but you sacrifice the 875 with the USB2.0, 400FSB, etc...

I'm looking for a media server, so the 600sc's 4 1" drive bays for some 200GB drives sounds roomy to me (though I'm not sure how the 250W PS will hold up)...

The 400SC is down to $224 AR/free shipping right now. I remember reading somewhere that Dell will buy back any components that you "don't need" from small business systems, is that true? I wouldn't need the optical drive, stick of memory, hard drive, or the video card...
