And yes ALL intel chips that use a 800Mhz FSB have HT built into them. But maybe the dell bios doesn't have built in support? Who knows??? I guess you just have to buy it and find out.
Logic of buying one of intels top end chip is to get it going fast. Via SATA, Tweaking RAM, bumping up the Chip to better perfromance. Then stay away from Dell.

Guys, got a question. Just got my system and I noticed it has 2 USB ports hooked up and seem to be functional in the front behind the bezel of the case. Anyone know if, number one, they work. Number two, a good way to make them accessible? I was thinking about cutting a hole in the bezel which would seem to be the only way. Any ideas?
Just to clarify, my 400sc (as well as everyone elses I imagine) has 6 ports in the back and two upfront. THey are even hooked up onto the mobo. The only problem is that the front bezel is blocking them and it doesn't have a door.

OllieBG's 400SC FAQ
Q: Are there any front panel connectors?
A: There are 2 USB 2.0 ports and a stereo headphone jack hidden behind the bezel (picture here). From inside the case you can see the USB cable attaches to the PCB that controls this unit. After removing the front bezel, you can access and use the 2 USB 2.0 ports. (I've tested these personally.) Unfortunately, there is no audio cable from the motherboard's connector to the front panel connector, so I do not believe the headphone jack will work until that's connected. If someone's adventerous, I'm sure they could fashion a custom cable, or perhaps order a cable from Dell, but it would pointless, because the bezel covers the headphone and USB ports. pbox has put together a few pages detailing the layout of the front panel and control panel.

For those who're just receiving your 400SC boxes and configured the memory with the "no cost option", the 128M 333MHz ECC, did DELL just fulfill your order with 128M 400MHz ECC? I'd really like to know. Thanks!
You lucky person! Out of curiousity, how did they "package" the upgrade for the P4 3.2G? I think I remember someone stating that their order before taxes was $560, but I didn't know how they configured it to get to that price.jumped on this the LAST time it was offered (3.2GHz) and I received the PC2700 (333MHz) ram as specified. Samsung brand!

Wow...Engineer...that was great! SOOOoooo, if they had had the current round of pricing, the $175 off (before the 2.8G upgrade) or the $150 off sale (with the 2.8G upgrade, recently) your 3.2G upgrade would have been down there almost below the $400 price threshold...ubelievable! Gol, even Dell is charging $499 now for the 3.2 upgrade, alone. You who got in on that one must have been going nuts!
