The rebate should have been listed on the following order documents:

- Dell Order Acknowledgment (e-mail)
- Dell Order Confirmation (e-mail)
- your electronic invoice (go online to Order history in "My Account" and click on the Order Number hotlink)
- your online Order Details (go online to Order status in "My Account" and click on the Order Number hotlink)
- the actual Packing Slip that is included on the outside of the shipping box

In all the above examples, the rebate is usually listed as the last item number.


Have you called DSB sales yet, or talk to Customer Care? They "should" know when the rebate was active for this system. If that fails, you will need to find someone that purchased the same system around the time you did, and use the rebate associated with that system purchase to prove you should (also) receive the rebate. If there's no rebate, you have 30 days to pricematch the system against an online or catalog priced system. And as a last resort, if you're 100% sure the rebate was active, and they're not going to budge, you could ask for a return RMA and wait to buy the system when its on sale again.

got my 400sc on Tuesday, it had the 333 ddr, micron.

have not booted it yet.

I need to send the HD and ram back, ho do i do that again, somebody could PM me, no need to post if you don't want to.

also can you get credit for anything else.

and mine has the rebate listed on the invoice.

and i got the totally stripped 3.2ghz 128mb 333ddr 40 gig HD, 48x cdrom, floppy, keyboard and mouse, thats it.

You can no longer do this - do to the abuse of some, Dell is now requiring that you purchase "upgrades" in order to return original system items.

upgrades would be fine, considering a 80 gig drive from dell is only like $10.00 more than a 40 gig.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm seeing $698-$150MIR=$548 for the 2.8. The 2.4 is $100 cheaper. In contrast, last month I paid $423-$100MIR=$323 for the 2.4. The 2.8 would have been $100 more ($423). So today's deal is $125 more than mine last month, and mine wasn't as good as the OP.

Oops, indeed I was incorrect. I didn't check the "free upgrade", which knocks the $100 off. So the 2.8 is $448AR, which is still $25 more than I could have paid last month. More upfront cost also.

There are no current x% off $899 or $999 PowerEdge server codes, AFAIK. The last one expired several days ago and I wasn't able to find a current one yesterday before I ordered. The Dimension system codes don't work on these PowerEdge servers.

I dont understand how you guys are getting $388. The subtotal is $598, now with the $100 rebate its $498. There is no $150 rebate or coupons that work! Or am I missing something?

pxc - the xx-percent off $899/$999 codes worked, but with some restrictions. The 10-percent off code would strip all other coupons/discounts other than rebates and the 10-percent off new subscribers (commonly available on eBay/FW). It was one of those situations were you had to have several codes and try them in different combinations to maximize your discount.

Hey pay - you [were] a day late and a coupon short. The stackable 10-percent off order total for new subscribers expired Friday evening (Oct 31, 11:59 PM CST.)

Crap! Thanks for the info though, I have another question for ya. Even though the coupon is dead, the $50 instant rebate should be showing up in the cart, shouldn't it? Because I have tried checking out to no avail...
