I agree in that you need to "stay in touch" with the reps ...I don't have any dedicated favorites ...but, I've had to call back to talk to different ones ...until I got the answer that I wanted to hear. Be persistant, but not aggressive ...it's not worth the self-aggravation. Be positive ...not paranoid.Originally posted by: Kwad Guy
Grrr...Ordered yesterday early in this thread...Got my acknowledgement email, but STILL no confirmation email. This always happens to me since dell gave me a "dedicated" team of support people for my account. They do this if you order a lot of stuff from them. They claim the dedicated team will make your orders get prompter attention, but the truth is that your orders NEVER go through quickly again, and frequently you have to call them just to get the orders out of limbo!
How many of you are frequent buyers with a "dedicated" set of Dell support people?
(I even emailed my lead support person yesterday, and predictably have not gotten a response).

Mail-In Rebate Offer
- ? $100 Mail-In Rebate #42306! Redeem after system purchase at www.dell.com Special Offer

You missed my point. I have ordered several Dell systems (4500, 4550, 600SC & 400SC) during the past year and they all advertised a rebate in several places on the website. This deal did not. I know they changed the rebate process to add the specific rebate offer number to the invoice and use a generic rebate form a few months ago.

About the rebate. Does anyone find it odd that Dell did not list the rebate in any of the normal places. It only shows up in the configuration details after you add it to your cart. I don't think I've seen them do this before.

To CherryBOMB and anyone else that wants to sell their 128MB DDR400 ECC memory. I am looking to purchase the 128MB DDR400 ECC memory modules from those of you that choose to upgrade. Here's how to identify which memory your system has before you receive it.
1 - G2529 - Dual In-Line Memory Module, 128, 400M, 16X72, 8K, Error Correction Code, 184
... then I am interested in buying it !

Yep, the rebate form is generic now and the same one they have used for the past several months. They get the real offer number from your packing slip.Originally posted by: Herr Yunta
Is this the proper rebate form to use?
