Nice deal but the 1400SC is a MUCH BETTER DEAL (price to features ratio), don't short yourself, spend a little more and get the 1400SC.

getting the 1400sc would not leave me with much money since i *just* moved into a new apartment last week and i am still getting everything setup. i just want a *cheap* second computer, my athlon xp rig is already plenty for for windows...

NO AGP it seems (only PCI video cards)

No agp slot for high quality vid card.
you will also need to put more than 128MB of memory into it
If you are going to I would suggest the p3 version vs. the celeron.
I would go with the SC1400 found in this thread

Has anyone ever done dells small buisness Loan thing, is it possible to pay it off early? I am going to try and get my boss to order one of these and maybe one of the p4 desktop units and just paythem off when I get the rebates.

The T's and C's on the rebate form don't say anything about "subject to change at any time", etc. I would think that if you have this rebate form, they couldn't deny your claim.

Hm.. sounds like a good deal. I only wish there weren't so many rebate deals.. it's like giving them a 250 loan for a month or 2 isn't it? ... I don't know, I dont' have 500 to drop on anything right now, but I'll bump for a good deal for other people.

NOTE: DON"T GET THE FREE 256mb ram upgrade, it may not show up on the cost of the comp in the shopping cart, but the rebate form explicitly says it isnt' valid to people who got free ram w/ thier computer...

I ordered today. I sure hope they take my rebate. I don't see why not, since I obeyed their rules, and didn't order any extra memory. Even though their site doesn't list the rebate anymore, it doesn't say it's not valid either.... and the rebate form still has it, so I'm pretty sure I'll be safe.

They have taken off the 128M special, and 256M special offer is the default now.
I ended up calling and they we a little hazy about the actual, but after I told the CSR about the deal he agreed to do it, and they also waved the shipping fee since online it was free.
Don't buy it with the special offer on the ram because they will not honor the rebate that way.

Also yes it is standard ATX, but the case is a dell, so if its anything like the rest of their machines, the case is fairly specific to the motherboard and options.

the rebate is still there is .pdf format but they changed the dates on it, so TODAY IS THE LAST DAY if you want the rebate.

I was trying to install ati all in wonder 128 pci with win2K. No luck.

Went to ati and downloaded latest drivers. Still no luck. It would launch the install program and then hang. When I tried to use the drivers provided on the CD it would say I need admin rights on NT (which I do).

Anybody getting the same problem?
