So you'll be getting a Celeron 1.7, 128DDR/200MHz, no OS, 48X CDROM, 20 GB 7200RPM drive (though if you pay $40 more, you can upgrade to two 40 giggers (b1g1 free), onboard nic, no monitor, onboard video ? is there video card?, no sound.

This system is not meant to be used as a desktop. It is strictly for use as a server. The onboard video is the 8MB ATI Rage XL and the chipset is the ServerWorks Grand Champion XL. That chipset is built for stability as opposed to all out performance. Plus the memory required is not regular PC1600 DDR. You must use registered ECC DIMMS.

As servers they are really nice and offer a better solution than pressing desktops into service as servers. A few months ago I got a Dell 500SC w/ 1.4Ghz P3 Tualatin and the system is rock solid.

you probably will get a better deal for a dell dimension 2300 for $377.10 (after 10% coupon), free shipping, free printer, palm m125 or digital camera.

I bought one and it has funny backwards PCI slots. You cannot add regular PCI cards.
