Dell pre-order on the Canon S200 digital camera, $289.10! S330, $335!

Well I ordered on Thursday and I got an e mail saying its delayed till the 16th.. I just checked the website and it says 12th....

hi u all dell experts,
i ordered one few days back. if i get the camera a couple weeks down the road, does that mean i have around a week left to return it? dell has 30-day return policy from the date printed on the invoice, but it seems like most of us gonna get our stuff at least 20 days after we placed our orders, but our order dates don't change.

Flavio, the S200 is a better deal. I posted a earlier in this thread that I chose to keep a $311 S110 over a $200 (after MIR) P50 (see earlier post for subjective comparison).

Just got an email that my s200 would ship on 4/17/02...Since others have reported 05/05 as a ship date, I'm hoping Dell aren't just rescheduling until they find out what's going on...

You may be right. I feel both good and bad that I received a delay e-mail from Dell, good because at least I know the current status and won't assume that it is going to ship today via overnight courier. Bad because my order has been delayed 2 weeks but saving 17% off retail is worth the wait for me, I just hope the "AT effect" doesn't screw this deal for us all.

Just saw the S330 at Fry's today in Sunnyvale. It looks very much like the S300 obviously with the addition of these buttons on the right of the LCD, holes for the speaker and two additional holes for the mic.
I think I preferred the look of the S300 but that's personal

Dell seems to be adding exactly 14 days to many orders, so that may not be an accurate indication. (again, it usually is not anyway.) Dell has always shipped earlier than the revised estimates, but this time it's a pre-order, so I'm not sure how that goes. It seems no dealer has received s200 yet.

Bah, this morning I got an email from Dell saying it had been delayed to the 17th. I guess they are waiting til the ship date to send out the emails saying it's been delayed. I'll be happy if I get the camera the 17th...

I ordered the s200 too and it is supposed to ship tomorrow, but know that it will not - still no delayed email. Has anyone heard anything about Sonys new DSC-P71? It is 3 mp and is priced around 399 - which with any Dell coupons would be a similar price to the Canon S330. I don't see the new Sony on Dell's website yet, but it should be there soon. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I RECEIVED IT I GOT IT! I GOT THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL SAYING THAT IT'D BE DELL WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SHIP TEH CAMERA TO ME TILL 4/16/02!!!!!!
