Whoo hoo, it shipped (Canon s330). Standard overnight (FedEx) from Texas to SoCal, I'll be getting it tomorrow. Got a tracking number and everything. My order number was 80472XXXX (3/29).

i would not do it.. the last time that I did that, they shipped 2 camera's, the second one was almost a week away and to the changed address. Just go home and pick it up... they consider it a new order.

Man... I ordered on April 2nd. Order number: 80591xxxx and still haven't receive anything from Dell yet. Checked my order status and it still says 5/15!!! Ouch!

By the way, this was for an S330 w/ nextday shipping (since it was free).

My hopes are still up though. I got my speakers way before its ETA. And oh yeah, they kick ass!

Oh, I got it from the same place as you all did. Hell. The 150 discount is a combination of the 100 dollar coupon and the 50 off 500 discount.
So I guess I got the deal after all.

If you are wondering, the 50 off 500 is still on. Now you just need to find a 100 dollar coupon to make the deal really hot.

I have been itching to use the 100 dollar coupon for a long time, the 120GB hard disk, geforce Ti4400 and the likes but I decided to be patient and
buy only whatever I will really need. Thats how I got the camera and I am happy about it.


But afterall it the anandtech's minion of hot deals that really made the day for me. Thanks all.

I've decided against the A40 because if I were to buy new NiMH AAs and charger for the A40... the price would equal that of the S200. Then, the only advantage the A40 has is the aperture control--since you can only pick 2 aperture sizes, it's virtually useless. That advantage comes with the disadvantage of bulky size because the S200 is so small and LOOKS SO GOOD

Does anyone know what printer they plan on using with their new camera? Apparently I found out after I posted my other message, that the cp-100 printer doesn't come out until next month. But has anyone tested out the cp-10 printer from canon (the older model)? It uses the dye-sublimation just like the Sony photo printers. And I'm wondering if I should go with the Canon or the Sony... any suggestions??

I just checked my tracking #, even though I chose Ground 3-5 day since I am in Houston and didn't want to possibly pay extra for shipping (to make up for paying sales tax). Dell shipped on 4/10/02 via FedEx standard overnight anyways.

Hmm,

I donnu what you really mean but the the S330 is 399 and the lexar 256mb,12X compact flash card is 128 and so the price comes up to 528 and I get
the 150 off and that brings the price down to 378, tag on the tax which is 9% in my s h i t hole"dont mean to sound bad" the price comes up to ~415

Hope that makes it clear.

By the way from the way you sounded it almost seems like I have been suckered by Dell. People can you please tell me whether my deal is hot or not if its not hot I am going to cancel my order or maybe modifiy it so that I get something other then the lexar 256 mb memory card.

There appears to be no rhyme or reason to Dell's fulfillment. I ordered my S330 on 3/28 and it is still showing InProduction.

While not HOT!, your deal was good. You basically got the compact flash card for free. Those taxes are painful.

I got it today at 11am PST. It's one sweet camera, lots of new features over my s10, (some I believe are probably battery draining cool but kinda useless features like a start up pictures with sound, kinda like starting up Windows). My order number was 80472XXXX (ordered on the 3/29) with next day shipping. Sent from Texas to Southern California.
Some thoughts:
Kinda small, for those prefer the smaller s200 I ask why? This thing already is very small and I have small female fingers (liked the s10 because it felt just right but it was heavy and not something I can just slip in a purse or pocket). I will prpbably get use to it but it's small enough for most people. The LCD is very nice, much more color and brighter than my s10 (probably has more colors, etc). Very good quality (I wish there was an ac adapter, but then I needed to spend $100 to get a AC adapter and a rechargeable battery for the s10 so it's not too bad). Without pictures taken or movies recorded I rate it a 10 out of 10.

BTW jadeyuhja, you don't need one of those really expensive portable printers to print directly from the camera. This camera has direct print function (named BubbleJet Direct), where if you have a compatible canon printer you can directly print from the camera to the printer. I am mosying over to Fry's later to try this out on some of the new canon's they have on display. I love the canon s630 because I believe it's the best canon printer out so far (but hard to find) but it doesn't offer this feature.
