For a casual user of a digital cam, would you guys find it really necessary for me to update from this HP C20? I don't really use it that much but I like the looks of the S330 and everything I'm reading about it. I just really don't know if it's worth it if I'm not going to be using it all the time.

Any suggestions?

I don't think it's worth it unless you have the money to burn. I judge the value of something by how much I will use it and since you yourself said you are just a casual user, plus you have a digital camera already I'd just pass. Something newer and better and at the same price will always be out so you aren't really missing out.

Yeah, this doesn't make sense. You obviously got the s330, since the s200 is the same size as the s110. But how did you manage to get it at $287?

Regarding Dell: "When she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was AWFUL".

Looked at S330 and S200 late Friday nite two weeks ago, then ordered S330: OOPS, inattentively I'd ordered S200. Turns out to be Hell trying to get that unwound: no CustServ over weekend, and it was Wednesday or Thursday before S200 showed as cancelled. Meanwhile, Monday, I switched to Canon G2, ordering that. Dell simply -lied- about it being in stock: three days later (Thu) it wasn't shipped and they still listed it "in stock". After LOUD complaints on my part, on Friday they showed it as out of stock.

Okay, scratch having it for the Saturday wedding. I asked Dell to cancel the 2nd-day shipping as there was no longer a rush -- I might as well not pay for fast shipping. When I checked Friday, they'd save me $5 by reducing it to regular shipping, and had removed $105 in discounts on the order -- the price was now list. I explained my opinion of their service and canceled the G2 order.

I want to like Dell, but I can't: they are gracious, but massively inept with anything involving Customer Service. I've simplified my experience, above -- it was worse. I don't think they want to be screw-ups, but that's what they are and at such a level I'd have to consider a lot of alternatives before going back.

I'm happy for all who found there service acceptible, but... YMMV.

Sorry Guys i got so happy i forgot to mention i got the S330, dell didnt charge me for Next Day delivery which was strange, but i bought on the day this was first post and when i bought it was no in stock but i was able to buy now. so i bought got confirmation and said it will arrive by or before April 16.but i got it last week.

this is how i got it.

when i bought iwas already digital cameras and printers 10% and i got a coupon code in my inbox from FW and in my email for additional 15% off, and then i stacked it with the 25 off 250 coupon back then. = $284 woohoo....

yeah, i ordered an s200 and i never got a delay email. it still shows 4/13, but i think canon is late in getting these suckers out, so it's not really dell's fault.

Hey~ If you had a choice, would you go with the Sony DSC-P5? Or the Canon s330? The Sony dropped in price so I am thinking about getting that one instead and selling my s330.

Camera size is the same- 330 has a better battery and a much better menu/control layout also msrp is lower.
I Had the s300 for almost a month before I returned it to buy the s330. My GF really likes the new menu/control much better thatn the s300, but I don't think she notices the newer features such as ISO settings.
I thought about just keeping the s300, but I was able to return it for full refund and buy the s330 for just a little cheaper.
