This is the camera that is replacing the S110. The camera is the exact same dimensions, and has the exact same build as the S110, except it now has the added ability of selecting the iso, from 50-400 (I believe the S110 could only go to 100).
The camera is not in stock yet, but should be in either the end of this week or the begining of next.
Use the stackable Dell coupons for 10% off peripherals, and then the $25 off $250 to end up with a total of $289.10. Seemed like a good deal to me.
Also, following the same trend, you can get the S330, which is replacing the S300, for $335. I believe the specs are identical between the two, I couldn't see any changes myself. The S300 series has the 3x zoom whereas the S200 has a 2x optical zoom.
Just wondering if you guys think that since they are replacing the s110 (which is still a great camera), will stores be clearancing these to much lower prices? Remember the S10 from a year and a half ago at OMAX from 399 to 210? (at the time it was one of the deal of the year)
How would these compare to Nikon 775 that was on sale at fry's last weekend for $277? 3x optical, 2.1 MP
It is shorter but considerably thicker. Pretty lightweight though I think
How does the flash compare? My only gripe with my s10 (not s110) is the size and the horrible weak flash
This is not an endorsement of the site whatsoever, but www.shopharmony.com is claiming to ship the S200 on 4/9/02. If it's true, hopefully Dell is getting the cameras around that time too.
I hope Canon doesn't run into an unexpected delay in releasing the S200.
this battery is much more expensive than I expected...around $60 :Q http://www.bestpriceaudiovideo.com/ doesn't have the S200, but under the entry for the S110, which the S200 is replacing, it gives availability as late april/may...maybe I should've went with a different model, but now the $25 coupon's over

still hot to me it's why i didn't buy a few 3 mp cams for sub $300 when they became available
plus those batts were everywhere, unlike the nb-1h
