i replied to the email as well but i didn't get any response from them. i ended up calling a CSR yesterday to give my consent to continue the order. ugh... looks like we're gonna have to wait on this one - hopefully they'll ship these out to everybody (especially since they took down the link a few days after putting it up). i just can't wait though! my S110's up on ebay right now and i'm gonna be cameraless for 2-3 weeks!!! haha

I just got in on that deal too...my s200 was delayed until april 30th...so i called in and cancelled..placed my order for the s300...added something for 2.50...applied the coupons...got it for 311.xx shipped overnite...haven't received my confirmation yet though...good luck everyone...

Ordered the night of 3/29 but made the mistake of not making sure my shipping address (different from billing) was added to my Amex Blue so the cc verification didn't happen till Monday. =(

I got the lovely email yesterday about my S200 telling me to confirm I want to keep my order by the 17th.
Reply to email, but get no confirmation from them.

Check the webite, still just says Delay call for ETA, but of course gives no number.

Decide I should call since I don't want to lose the great price.

I go back to the email as I remember it listing a number. I call the number and decide to try the phone-based order status. It tells me that my order has been sent to the manufacturer for fulfillment. Sounds like it must be ready to ship.

I decide to call again and talk to someone. They list an extension of 66966 in the email. So I call this. Talk to a nice woman, she tells me she has no way of knowing if they received my email confirmation and she has no idea when my order will ship. She makes a note that I called to confirm but cannot guarantee that my order won't be cancelled. I need to talk to another extension as they are the ones that actually cancel orders. That extension is 62032, she transfers me and the voice mail system tells me my wait will be 14 minutes. I decide not to burn 15 more minutes on my cel phone trying to confirm this now. I will try later from a land line.

Dell seems to not really give a sh*t about customers anymore. They're just living off the reputation they earned back in the day when they did care.
Or is this just a technique to try to weed out the inattentive peoples orders to save money.

Yesterday I received an e-mail indicating that my S330 has been delayed until some date in May and that I needed to call if I did not want my order to be cancelled. I ignored the e-mail since my S330 was delivered last Thursday. The need some help with their order fulfillment system.

I searching eBay for S330 prices because I was thinking of buying one from Dell using the $50 off $400 and 10% off, of course Dell would probably ship just after Christmas 2003 but on the off chance that I received it before Memorial Day (May 27th) I was hoping to sell it on eBay for a profit of $50 or more.

Anyhow I ran across a few Canon Lithium Ion rechargeable battery auctions for the NB-1L, one of them said the brand was DIGIPOWER but it was 100% compatible with the S200/S330. Is this true?

I bought a non-Nokia Lithium Ion vibrating rechargeable battery for my Nokia 6190 last year from Onvia.com for $18, at first I was skeptical but it's lasted well over 1.5 years now.

yep thanks for the info guys, i just ordered the s330 for $310 shipped. I wont cancel my s200 order. I guess Ill cancel whatever order does not ship first, unless they both ship at the same time then...oh dear.

ross, i'd check out batterybarn... a few ppl haven't had trouble from them in the dpreview forums. they have a hi-power one.. it's 1000mAH as opposed to 670 for the nb-1l (840 nb-1lh). if i find my battery dies to quickly on me, i'm going for it.

but in the mean time... i get to play w/ my digicam.. UPS man came and i was back to sign for it First impression is low light w/o flash still isn't where i'd like it.. heh.. i want too much.. time to whip out the tripod... i really like the on/off positioning... just need to learn the menu system.

size-wise, i think it's just a hair smaller than the s10.. i'll compare to my roommates when i get back to school. and damn, does that CF card fly out when you hit the eject button...

At least most people are getting their S330 that they ordered. As for me I cant really bash Hell this time as they promptly shipped my lexar card and S330.
I received my lexar card 1 minute ago and my S330 is coming in tommorow. Still enrout from CA anahiem. BTW the flash card came from TN nashvile.

Damn Dell doesn't even offer the S200 anymore in their digital cameras section, where did it go? I'm starting to fear the worse, words like distribution, stock, empty, wherehouse, you'll never get it, go ahead and sue us we're the world's biggest PC manufacturer, warehouse never had any to begin with, supply problems, etc. Is anyone else starting to hear these words? I'm going to stick with my S200 order until the bitter end, I'd better get a freebie $50 GC or something out of this ordeal.

Since I was going to order 256MB CF from Dell anyway, do you guys think this deal would fly?

I believe they both use CompactFlash as media. Do you want 128MB or 256MB? Whichever you choose search the Hot Deals forum for 128MB or 256MB and you'll find several deals, Outpost.com was selling 128MB for $40 but I think they're out of stock, here's a decent deal on 256MB CF PNY for $79 after rebate from CompUSA.

Damn, $310 for the S330 is not bad. I have 2 orders still being delayed that I bought for $334 each. I'd like to cancel them and buy them for the $310 price now, but I don't wanna get pushed back further in the queue. Last I checked this morning, the status said Delayed 4/16. Well, its 4/16 and still no shipping information!!!
