this is a great deal, but used more for mobile presentation it seems, and not so much if you're planning to use it for home movies.

Is this 2100 model better than the 3200 model as reviewed?

I just did some searching around for P-VIP lamp replacements. 300 a pop seems kinda high for a bulb that is rated for 2000 hours.

300 bucks is not bad for the lamp...Considering my old LCD Sharp I had cost about 50 bucks more then that. You could always get one on e-bay but, you got to remember that the lamp fades out over time and won't be as crisp as a new one. So make sure you trust your ebay source if you do buy one from there.
Anyway... Anyone that has one, have they worked out the rainbow effects with the DLP technology yet? What about FAN noise? Gotta keep that high wattage bulb cool. How loud is it? Also, is this thing ceiling mountable?
Thanks!

Do any of these projectors let you hook up a progressive scan dvd player via component connections to get a 480p image out? Many of them state HDTV but not SDTV or EDTV. Does it only work with 1080i signals or will it make normal dvds from a progressive dvd player look good?
