Seems Dell's website is a little messed up it seems. And so are they.
Just got off the phone with them. They say their website has problems, and alot of the data shown is wrong (customer wise) so make sure to call in and check on your servers guys! Seems mine was going to ship to California when I live in Florida!!!

News on the VPM. The 7G041 part # given out was correct, its a refurbished part, $14.. with tax its $16.91 I belive. Just ordered mine. It has a 7 day ship out time, so don't even bother next daying it.

Finally, on orders that Dell messes up, they offer FREE next day shipping if you complain about it ^^.... so I should have my server here in just a few... although they messed up the tag # and it shows a PowerEdge 1300 for some guy in Cali... I have to get a change of ownership form from them. What a PITA!
Still.... its all worth it for this sweet a server for under 1k!

OK now that I got the part number on the VRM ...has anyone gotten there server yet and identified the chip for sure...I would like to order the second one before my server gets here...but Im concerned that if it is wrong I will be stuck with a chip that I cannot use...I know the Dell website says its a Intel P3 1ghz 256 cache chip....but does anyone have the info for sure??...how in the hell can Dell charge $500 for a standard P3 chip and a VRM that totals Aprox $135 if bought elsewhere?...any info would be great

Just recived my server last night.
It seems a little rushed.... but still great quality.
I got the VPM in from Dell ($16 total) works great.
The front HD pull out tray is a little generic.. You can take it apart just by bening the beer can aluminum... but it works well.
Server itself is blazing fast, and the 64bit pci is screaming.

The chip that I got is an FPGA2, the second is an FPGS from newegg, running a gorb, works like a charm, the onboard vid blows though and it seems to hate my GF2MX400, foock. Quick as hell second fastest mandrake boot I have ever seen, fastest was a PowerEdge 2400 with an U160 raid array.
