...the supply of large format (anything larger than 10") LCD screens is becoming increasingly strained due primarily to laptop screen, and more severely, home TV sales exceeding expectations significantly. The margins for LCD-based home televisions are notably better than the computing market, making those products the focus for supply stricken manufacturers. As such, expect the average price for that new flat panel monitor you've been drooling over to start heading back up.

There have been articles like that before but they haven't panned out.If you're looking for an LCD you might want to jump now. Ars-Technica has an article about rising prices expected.

I bought the 2000FP about 6 months ago on a great deal here. Think I paid about 800 after tax. Anyone out there who has the 2000FP -AND- one of the 18 or 19" models compare? I'm thinking about getting another one for photoshop, etc, but can't afford 2 x 20" models. The 19" looks pretty tasty at 500 and change.
The 20 seems fine for gaming, but I have to run it at 1280x1024 because my video card can't pump out 1600x1200 at enough FPS. This makes it a bit less sharp. That is another reason I thought the 19" at 1280 native would be a good choice for primary monitor.
