Hey everyone, check this out. Optiplex GX400 P4 1.7 GHz for 728.84. Its a similar system (spec wise) to the Dimension 4400s and GX240 deals that are going around right now, but if you want RDRAM badly this might be what your looking for.
Here's how to get it, somewhat ripped from gotapex
Check out the HOWTO on the GX240 for 493.24 at the deals section at gotapex. Follow their guide to getting the system cheap, but just replace the GX240 with the GX400. Then when configuring the GX400, siwtch to 1.7 instead of 1.5 or 1.8 (1.7 costs th same as 1.5, weird). Choose whatever OS you want, they're all the same price. Opt for just "Optiplex" under microsoft productivity software, its cheaper. Then choose you epson or your palm. Deselect the USB cable, then drop down to 3 yrs parts and onsite labor (subtract 149). Drop down to a 20 GB hd drive. Next deselect the surge protector on the next page. Finally follow the rest of the gotapex guide and you'll have it in your cart for 728.84. Hurry, its today only.
P4 1.7 GHz
128 MB RDRAM (ECC, blech, eh oh well)
20 GB Hard drive (7200 RPMs)
16MB ATI Rage Ultra 128
20/48X CD-ROM
Free Palm or Epson Printer
Intergrated Sound and NIC
hope this helps someone out.
