On phone with Dell sales to see if they'll price match. All the Best Buys in my area are sold out. Do you guys know if Best Buy Business needs a different account or special requirements to purchase from?

Edit: No luck, Dell said they can only lower to $1200.
Edit 2: Bought from Best Buy Business site. See post # 6 below.

You just need to create a free account. It's quick. I order from their business site all the time. Just make up a company name!

Haha, I just created one and ordered it! The Company Name field was pre-filled with "Home Office." I nearly bought this from Amazon this morning for $1200, since I thought that was a good price. What an incredible coincidence. Thank you so much for this link! You saved me some cash.

Product Total: $849.99
Standard Delivery: $13.49
Oversize Fee: $20.00
Tax: $53.01
ORDER TOTAL: $936.49

Oh ok, I see what you mean. The MFG part number comes back to the U3011 and the BBY.com item number matches the correct SKU for the U3011.

I do NOT need this! I could get probably $200 for my used 28" I-Inc and then I have three 23" HP 1080p brand new in the box I can sell for $400 total. $350 out of pocket after tax and shipping for this thing. Someone save me!

I know this is a better screen than a $300 Catleap but it's also $650 more with tax and shipping. $650 for 3 more inches an a few more pixels (and sure, better build quality). But looking at it that way you can get three of the Catleaps in Eyefinity for the price of one of these. That's what's making it tough for me to hit the buy button.

True. But the Eyefinity comparison assumes a lot. It assumes you have the horsepower to drive 3xWQHD (2560x1440), which is a lot more than needed for 1xWQXGA (2560x1600). Also assumes you have the space for 3 vs. 1. And finally, assumes you're focusing HEAVILY on gaming, since there's not much need for Eyefinity, especially 27" Eyefinity, besides gaming. The U3011 is a really great piece of hardware, and this price is INSANE, even though it's still much more expensive that other solutions, and on par (in terms of cost) with 3xWQHD Catleaps.

For me, space is the biggest issue. I'm using 2xWUXGA (1920x1200 - 24" each), and I need a dual-monitor stand to get those both "on" my desk, so the extra cost of the U3011 would be better for me than saving money on 1 or even 2 Catleaps.

BestBuy Business has it at $1250

Edit: Heh, I guess this was my first post. I've been lurking the forums for years, and reading AnandTech since the AMD Barton days. This was such an awesome deal I was finally going to pull the trigger on this monitor, but oh well.
