Well I receive the u2311 today and have an 2209wa sitting next to it. The u2311 i received is fine; ips glow never bothered me. I see no indication of tinting (created a white xterm edge to edge). Also no dead or stuck pixels (or non obvious; I can't notice it without a staring at each pixel it isn't an issue). I will admit I prefer 16:10 or 4:3 form factor so I'm rather happy i did not go with the 27 (which is 16:9).

At default brightness it has a bit of bleeding but it is fairly uniform and not enough to warrant a return; i did turn the brightness down to 25; and the bleeding went away.
(I'm burning it in with the linux machine; but will swap it with the 2209wa in a couple of days - that one is connected to the multimedia/game machine.

I just wanted everyone to know that before you consider a u2311 please skim the giant thread on them on the hardocp forums. This monitor by dell seems to have a much higher rate of defects as far as tinting changing from one side of the screen to another as well as worse shadows detail and white "eips glow" than other manufacturers that use the same panel - notably NEC. I just got the NEC for 260 something off Amazon and couldn't be happier. And no, there's no ghosting in games.
