That is surely what I didn't want to hear as I await my 2001fp to be delivered this week. If it has this is truely noticeable it will be going back. Anyone else have any comments on this?

Mine has the same problem. I definitely notice it and am contemplating putting it back up on eBay and getting the 2005FPW if it does not exhibit this problem. Unfortunately I can't return mine to Dell since I bought it used on eBay (mainly because the previous owner could confirm zero dead pixels).

This is the question I really want answered. If the 2005FPW doesn't exhibit this same grainyness problem then my 2001FP is going up on eBay and I'm getting that. The grainyness annoys me to no end.

Man, this is certainly disheartening. I had heard almost nothing but good things about the 2001FP so I finally ordered it last week. Should be here in another day or so.

So what are you guys doing to see this graininess? Can you just pull up a 2-3 meg pic taken from a digital camera and it looks fuzzy? I want to know what to look for. I agree, for $600 for the monitor, I'm not going to accept that.
