It's not fuzziness. It's just that it is SO clear that you can actually make out the separate rows of pixels when you look at gray areas or off-white.

I got my 2001fp in last night but since I am moving my comp is all packed away. I hooked it up to a friends laptop just to throw some colored screens up to see if there are any dead pixels (is there any program to do this?) and it looks all clear! I played need for speed and watched a part of billy maddison and it was great! My only thing is that as soon as the monitor is on and displaying it has a high pitched whine. Does anyone else have this noise? I am sure I would barely hear it if at all when my desktop is running but it was definitely annoying next to the quiet laptop.

Ordered my 2005FWP on Dec 10, it arrived Dec. 13. It does exhibit a bit of what I call "LCD sheen" (brightness is cranked out-of-the-box), which I guess some people might call grainy (it would have to be a real fine grain). I'm not going to let it bother me, though. Zero dead/stuck pixels. Very sharp with a DVI signal off of my Powerbook, not as sharp with d-sub off my ancient geforce2, but I'll attribute that to the card (time to upgrade). I know this isn't a hardware review forum, so I'll leave it at that.

No problems here either. I can't seem to play any movies at 1600x1200. Movies run fine at 1280x1024...

I have had this problem in the past and I would highly recommend you get the monitor replaced ASAP. Mine would emit a high-pitched buzz for about 5 minutes after turning it on and then disappear. I foolishly thought it would go away and waited after the first 30 days and had to go through Technical Support. I went through 3 RMAs before getting a monitor of remotely acceptable quality. It has 4 dead pixels (my original had none).

I don't know if it will kill the monitor. I just got fed up enough to return it.

Interestingly enough, 1 of the 3 replacements I got also had the problem.

That's the same thing I got for 2 of the coupons. The problem is that I was using google and googling dellf and it was giving only EPP coupons, I think. When i realized that, I just went to the dell main page for home and signed up for dellf there.
