The only thing stopping me from buying a third 1703fp is my lack of funds for a triple head video card ;D

I ordered a 2005FPW yesterday with my 25% off code and the $35 off $400 code from yesterday. Can I call Dell back and have them apply this $45 off $400 and remove the previous $35 off, so I can get it for net -$10'ish from yesterday?
It's a great place.Originally posted by: Kenmitch

If your lucky like me....You can score a coupon for free over at fatwallet

Why do people like this FP so much? Doesn't the 1703fp have 25ms response time?
I just picked up a refurb 173fp (16ms) for $139. Is the ultra-sharp that much better?

So, for gaming... Is the 05 or the 01 a better bet? I'm a little confused about the whole "widescreen" thing.
Hard to say. Some new games that are coming out are supporting the widescreen format, such as HL2 and Worlds of Warcraft. I would assume however that alot of lower profile games may not so you'd have to decide if the black sidebars were worth it. One thing I'm not sure on is the height of the panel itself. I would assume that if it's 20.1" at 16:10 then the height is much lower then on a 4:3. So it could be like useing a 17" monitor if you play 4:3 style games.

If anyone ends up with a 2005 and 2001 please post a pic of it. One thing that's holding me back from getting the 2005 is the fact I can't see it in person. But at least a comparision would help.

I think I remember reading somewhere that it only beat a recent deal on Dell Plasmas by $50. Because you couldn't use the coupon with the deal they had going at the same time.
