I do not understand why people skimp on the monitor. It's the only part of the computer that you have an interface with!

Especially those of us who enjoy cutting edge hardware - graphics cards and CPUs. I don't give a s--t about 250 fps at 800 x 600, I want 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps!

i remember back in 05 I got my 2405 for 700 bucks and thought that it was the most amazing steal ever. I never thought these things would never be this low.

Oh well , the higher price was well worth the two years i've gotten out of it so far

I remember when I bought my Sony G500 for $1000 back in 2000 and thought it was a steal. And I'm still using it.

How do you guys find out about all these coupon deals at dell anyways? How long was it before they dropped the price on this monitor anyways?

$500 I could live with, since I use a monitor till it pukes, that and this 19 inch CRT is making my desk bend

edit: So is this a good monitor to "future" proof myself so i can watch HD videos on it and whatnot? The connections on back are the "newest"? I am a noob at video stuff
