anyone get extended warranty? I've never had an LCD fail after 90 days, I have an old 15" Planar that is about 5 years old still ticking.

Free shipping is off line, and I had to call in to get it. That means no ebates unfortunately. Also they charged me tax but told me in 2 weeks it would be refunded (?). Anyone bought anything from Dell during a 'free tax' week or weekend?

I bought a system this weekend with the 2407WFP to get the 350 dollars off the complete system. There was no way I could add the HC version to the system though and get the coupon to work also. I tried chatting with sales to do it also. :/
There isn't tooo much dif between the two are there?

Does anyone know how to get the 6% AAA coupon to work after the $100 discount? I applied coupon but it doesn't take the discount. Do I have to call in with a CSR and set it up?

I just got the monitor today and it was truly worth it. A great upgrade from my 2005FPW.

Couldn't hold out any longer and finally ordered one. Now I can finally have two 24 inchers instead of one 24 and 20.

Beauty, 0 dead pixels. I have a 2405 from 2 generations ago and this is an improvement - brighter, crisper, faster. What are you using to adjust the colors, though?

Btw if you purchased this monitor before the $100 special, if you email them after the 30days of the "price protection policy" they will deduct at least $50 back to your credit card. Just had it done They do it because they "value you as a customer".

Watching Batman Begins in 1080p on this monitor is so awesome. Also playing games is awesome.

just picked up this monitor, and it has some HORRIBLE ghosting issues using an ati x1800xt. Even with mouse movement, there is a noticeable green trail, and it's especially noticeable in games. Not sure what to do now. I'm going to to see if there's any known solutions for this.

EDIT

There's no fix for this issue. I have Rev AOO, presumably the only model available atm. But the ghosting is terrible. When moving the mouse, or playing a game, a deep green trail around 1/2'' trails any moving object. Anyone else with this monitor noticing this issue? Guess I'm going to have it replaced, and hope for a better version?

There is only one version of the monitor out, AOO. If its just doing it with the mouse movement, sounds like a video driver or a mouse driver issue. I would make sure mouse driver is fine and try a couple versions of ATI software to see if it fixes it. If possible try a nvidia card to see if it still happens.. If none of those work get it replaced.

jhbball, I'm not seeing this at all. Do you have a laptop or another PC to hook up first with a completely different graphics card?

AMEN

I'm a bit annoyed with the "no tax weekend" and Dell charging me tax, and supposedly refunding it in 2 weeks which I doubt will happen and will cause me much hassle and calls to India who won't know where Virginia is, but, that has nothing to do with the monitor

It's A BEAUTY

one question

Is DVI-HDCP = HDMI in features (I know the plug is shaped differently)?

Just received mine today and wow what a difference. I used to have a 2405FPW but the new hc version pretty much puts it to shame.

I've tested this issue with both my Desktop via DVI connection (x1800xt) and a my laptop via vga connector. Same problem with both. Sounds like people are getting monitors that are working though, so that's good news.
