this Dell monitor seems to be based on a S-PVA panel

Judging by what I have read on S-IPS vs S-PVA,
the former supposedely has:
-better colors
-much better viewing angle
-better responsiveness
the latter has:
-darker blacks
-less uniformity when comparing edges to the center (not sure)
I could be totally wrong here, feel free to correct me at will. Also, the fact that this dell carries an improved CCFL backlight may change things a bit. The NEC is glossy, the dell is not (better colors at the cost of more glare). The resident LCD guru xtknight likes the NEC, though I think he hasnt seen the Dell in person (just speculating)
Ultimately, the cost difference ($399 vs $579) is toooooo much to stomach for me - still a college student on a limited budget. Not like I do anything that would actually need widescreen support anyhow.
Congrats on those who needed this monitor and got a good deal on it As for me, I am still contemplating on the NEC or a cheap trini/diamondtron (if I find one locally)
