It seems the main downside of this monitor to me is the input lag; the review shows it tested at 23ms. Making it a great monitor for daily desktop work use, but not so great as a gaming unit.

Awesome monitor......purchased two of these at the end of 2010 for $1020 + Tax each from Dell.

Great price - been driving these with a GT 460 1GB unit, so not into the high FPS gaming where input lag may be a problem. (Since the GPU is a much bigger problem than the 23ms lag!)

I just got me the ultra wide Dell U2913WM Black 29" 584.99 after 10% discount. Pretty sweet deal. I was planning to pick up 2 Dell 2408 WFP's for Tri setup, but i guess i don't have to now. This is my 3rd Dell monitor since i started PC gaming, i guess i really like Dell monitors.

Finally, put my 2 GTX 680 SLi in good use.

I second that recommendation for software development. you will never go back.

I don't have the dell, but this is uber cheap. I'm kind of amazed that prices haven't gone down on the 30" panels. It seems like they have been well over 1000 for the last 3 years.

HP ZR30w could be a great alternative.
