Inspiron 8200SE - $1,615
All after rebate and savings.

Don't know if this is a pretty good deal or not for us students. Don't know if you customize the 8200 and try the save $100 for RAM if you still qualify for the rebate(Anyone want to find out?). Good deal?

Things that may need confirming on Inspiron 8200SE

When customizing you have option to save $100 on RAM

There is also a $100 rebate for Inspiron 8200 for
3-Year Limited Warranty plus 3-Year At-Home Service
OR
3-Yr Limited Warranty plus 3 Yr At-Home Service and CompleteCare

Can anyone confirm these rebates?

Without calling in and asking it's hard to be absolutely sure about what will and won't work. The SE rebate says that it cannot be combined with any other offers on the EPP/SSF website. I don't know if the packing slip/receipt will show that any other discounts were applied... I would think that it would show this and that would put your big rebate in jeapardy.

Hey jschen,
The best deal from Dell, whether for students or not, traditionally come at the end of their fiscal quarters. Since Dell's fiscal year ends at the end of January, watch the deals to start flying over the next two weeks or so. If you don't need the computer today, stay tuned to these forums for another 10 to 15 days. You will not be sorry, if Dell stays true to form.

I was eyeballing that 8200SE during Christmas, it was around $1800 then and it is the shiznit as far as laptops go.
