You botched that post up

I think you will find a lot of people prefer AMD for reasons beyond being a fanboy, but if you want to flame me, go ahead.

Plus, I don't support the Dual Core, it's like Hybrid cars, technology is too recent for me to consider it, it has obvious features, but isn't ideal for the upgrader in mind.

That's why I have a 04 non hybrid Civic and I am considering an Opteron 144, 146, 148 or 3000+, 3200+

I will get a hydrid car and a dual core when they are on the market longer, is being developed better, and gets better feedback.

These are all my opinions of course, also most companies use Intel...

I see now...but most companies are using Intel in Dell boxes.

We have a Forune 500 of 6000 users it's an older mix of HP/Compaq and newer Dells (GX270, GX280).

Our servers are HP

All use Intel chips.

Big AMD fan here but their x2 DUal COre is having major issues with game crashes and lagging. (Read in AMD forums)

Right, and the Dell GX260s, 270s, 280s, and 620s all have heat/capacitor issues.

It is fine for a company to still use Intel, even though AMD clearly has better architecture, is cheaper(usually), and is designed for gamers in mind.

I work for a company that has strictly Dell, and we have so many issues replacing motherboards with bad capacitors(course this is not exactly Dell's fault, but still). And the new 620s have no case fans, and overheat the hard drive

I have had 3 Dell GX270's die with bad caps along the edge of the CPU...out of the 50 or so we bought 2 years+ ago sort of high percentage, but still overnight I have new motherboards and we have spare machines to deploy. HP is good as well, our 3 year+ EVO D500's are losing HD's left and right and a few motherboards stop working (nothing visible wrong)...but other than that smooth sailing.

I know the GX280's have crappy HD's in them, I have had to replace about 3 in 1 year.
